Wood Window Rescue

Windows built before 1950 are a unique part of American history. The windows both demonstrate the craft and industry of the early 20th-century building industry. These windows add character and value to many vintage homes. The Historic Preservation Commission protects many neighborhoods like Mesta Park, Heritage Hills, Crown Heights, Paseo, Edgemere Park, Putnam Heights & Shepherd, and Lincoln Terrace. These windows add historical significance to the house. However, many of these windows are rotting, unable to open, and drafty.

Our Solutions

  • Window Restoration - Our team has specialized in the restoration of windows. Most windows have been neglected or maintained in incorrect ways. This restoration service can include in place exterior only, off-site, and mechanical restoration by following the National Parks Service’s Treatment of Historic Properties

  • Window Painting - Some windows are due for their next maintenance cycle or are a part of a larger project. This service provides a high quality protection of the window using modern window painting methods.

  • Replica Sash & Sills- Some components of a window may be beyond repair; for this reason, we offer period-appropriate replica parts. Our replica parts include upper sash, lower sash, and sill all made with rot resistant wood.

  • Rot Repair - Many times the window, sill or trim have started rot. This doesn’t mean that it’s time for replacement though. We have EpoxyTechs specifically trained to repair your building or home using epoxy products.

Since 2015 we have been trusted across the United States as a leader in historic window restoration.
